Under the spotlight this month is Vince Salvatore from One Agency The Parks in South Western Sydney.

Vince has worked in real estate for more than 11 years and joined One Agency just 6 weeks ago, we welcome Vince to One Agency and asked him to share his experience with us.

What do you love about your work in real estate? What drives you?
I love selling real estate, it’s very rewarding, especially when you get to meet so many lovely people that are looking for that right next home or their very first investment property or indeed first home buying.

What attracted you to the One Agency business model?
After contemplating working for myself again I didn’t really want to start from scratch with an office with high rent, multiple staff to man it and chasing a management portfolio too. The One Agency model works perfectly, as I have begun with a small office at home, no staff concerns, for now and knowing that I can be of even more service to my clients plus the rewards stay purely in-house.

How is the brand working for you?
Love it, love it love it!  People are commenting on it’s fantastic modern look , it looks professional and it’s really getting noticed.

Would you recommend One Agency to others? 
Absolutely.. All the above reasons just for starters. The flexibility of doing things your own way, being professional about it and knowing it’s your baby…..no one can spoil it, mark it, damage your reputation…….only you can. That’s a great motivator right there.

What do you think keeps your prospective vendors awake at night when they are considering listing their property? Ultimately it comes down to …WHO CAN I TRUST? That’s really the only question. If you have, and continue building a respected name & reputation for yourself, you are the ONE agent they will call.

Do you think they worry that they can’t trust real estate agents in general?
Yes, they do. Rightfully so! Some agents are less than trustworthy but they get found out soon enough. Keep doing the right thing and people will know. Trusting you will come strongly recommended by their friends and family.

What do you do to build their trust?
I try to show them that I have nothing else to sell them except my reputation. It’s the only thing I’ve got. So follow up with everything you say you will do and do it.

What makes you the ‘go to’ agent in your local area? What sets you apart?
RESULTS…I have been fortunate enough to have been selling in the same area, from one office for over 11 years. Even when the ‘market was tougher’ I was selling 90-95% of my stock. This is a very important piece for me.

What attributes do you think are most important in an agent?
Communication, trustworthiness and keeping it real. Telling your clients the truth.

How’s the current state of the market?
Great. The only thing is…. there’s a shortage of listings. Nothing new. Work hard at it and they will come.

What’s great about living in your local area and community? 
I live in South West Sydney with my wife Cris in Abbotsbury. It’s adjacent to Bossley Park, Edensor Park, Wetherill Park and Greenfield Park. These are my core areas of trade, hence the name One Agency The Parks. I have been a local all my life and we have great shopping, Western Sydney Regional Park, at the hub of M4, M5 and M7 motorways giving quick access to anywhere one needs to go.

What do you do outside work?
I try and keep fit and healthy through martial arts. We are grandparents now and enjoying that immensely, so love the family get togethers. Not much time for anything else except to put ONE MORE SALE together 🙂
